Evelity in your buildings: deployment guide
Universal and free for the user, Evelity offers step-by-step (indoor and outdoor) navigation for all people, regardless of their mobility profile. Within a single application, the interfaces, directions and itineraries can be adapted to respect the individuality of each person. The application needs to be deployed on site in order to be made available to users and visitors.
1. Signing of the order form
Once the purchase order is submitted, deployment can be scheduled by Okeenea Digital. An on-site deployment date is set with you.
2. Reception of plans and POI
In order to successfully deploy Evelity, plans of the place to be equipped are essential (pdf or jpg format). Traffic areas, entrances/exits, stairs or elevators must be identified. The list of POIs (points of interest) of the location is also required. The aim is to know the possible destinations of the future users' itineraries and the associated contents.
3. Remote digital deployment
Thanks to the maps, our team is able to remotely configure the geolocation infrastructure and the Evelity back office. The bluetooth beacons that provide a geolocation signal by triangulation are placed on the maps. The future paths taken by the users are traced. Finally, the POI and environmental descriptions specific to the place are added.
4. On-site technical deployment
We go to your place to install the bluetooth beacons. Of small dimensions, the beacons are glued to the wall at a height of about 3 meters or circled on posts, colored shells can be added to blend even better in the space. The beacons are positioned at about 15 meters from each other in order to obtain a dense mesh of the bluetooth signal per floor.
5. Setup and testing
Once the beacons are installed, fingerprints are made on the paths using a smartphone. Localization and guidance tests are then carried out to ensure that Evelity behaves properly in the environment. Specific adaptations to the architecture of the place and the flow of users can be made on the back office.
6. Customer receipt
Once the configuration is complete, a demonstration of the solution is done with you. This is to confirm that the service provided meets expectations and to facilitate the handling of the application.
7. Access to the back office
To access the back office features, a customer account is created. We provide a one-hour remote training session to facilitate the handling of the web tool. User manuals are also provided to learn how to manage disruptions, tag status, POI names and geolocated content.
8. Publish on the application
Your equipped places is now published on the Evelity app (iOS and Android). And it becomes available to all your visitors/users.

F.A.Q
Use our chat for any questions you can't find answers right here!
What are the beacons used today?
We use NAO BlueSpot V3 beacons from Pole Star, which are recognized worldwide for their unequalled autonomy, simple installation and easy maintenance. The technical data sheet of the beacons is available on request.
Is one beacon for each POI necessary?
No. Thanks to their bluetooth signal, the beacons create a mesh that allows to locate the user. The POIs are placed on the mesh, independently of the beacons location.
How many beacons are needed for my venue?
The number varies according to the architecture of the place and the areas to be covered. On average, there should be one beacon every 15 meters and 4 beacons per 1000 m2.
How long does the on-site deployment take?
The deployment time depends on the complexity of the venue. On average, it takes about 2 days of deployment on the field for a 5,000m2 location. Then it takes two to twelve weeks for the availability of the site on the applications, again depending on the place.
Do I need to provide equipment and human assistance for the deployment?
No. Once Okeenea Digital receives the access plans, it is completely autonomous in its deployment. No connection to the information system or to the Internet is required and no human or material resources on the part of the customer are necessary. Only full access to the areas to be covered is required.
What maintenance should I expect?
No daily maintenance is required. The batteries of the beacons must be changed every 4 to 5 years.
